Why did you choose civil services as your career and when did you first decide to appear in BPSC?
I decided to get into civil services after my graduation and I have my first attempt in 2018.
Mention booklist and sources which you followed for mains General studies papers (section wise). Also add about your strategy for different sections of both GS papers.
I had limited time to prepare for the mains so I chose to go through the thorough notes provided by cracking civil services and learned a lot from their test series as well . I made other notes while searching for the topics online.
Did you do answer writing regularly? If yes, what amount of time you devoted to it and how did it help you?
Answer writing is a must but i wasn’t able to write the answers regularly but after the announcement of mains schedule I wrote test series and that helped me in the actual examination.
Did you maintain self-notes? If yes, how did it help you?
Self made notes are very helpful at the last stages of the revision and that helped me as well to quickly revise the topics .
How previous years questions helped in exam?
The previous year questions show us that what the examiner wants to test and one should use as guiding light in one’s preparation.

Their test series and notes were very helpful in covering a lot of topics in limited amount of time .
Any specific thing you want to share about your strategy for different sections of General Studies papers?
One should be focused around the demand of the question and try not to bush around the topic rather hit the bull’s eye.
What were the major questions asked in your Interview? If you can give brief overview of your interview?
The question were mostly related to current topics like inflation , government steps to prevent that , my optional subject and it’s use in administration , national education policy and some related to my graduation as well.
What challenges did you face during your preparation journey?
The worst thing one truly feel in civil services exam is the that it’s the test of the courage to walk again after failure . You have to face the reality and it’s very hard and you have to work again after taking some break .
Any message about the other aspirants?
I know it’s easier said than done but keep working and one day you will be the one who is writing your interview .
